SAFC II not showing correction

SAFC II not showing correction
Well I finally installed my safc, and for some reason it's not displaying any correction at any RPM. I've checked the connections (they are all soldered onto a fields harness). It shows RPM's, Kar, Throttle, but no a/f correction. It stays at +/- O no matter what. I'm not sure if it's even adjusting. Just trying to get an idea if this has happened to anyone else or if I'm missing something in the setup. I'm pretty certain that I've set corrections at proper NEpoints correctly. The car doesn't seem as if anything dramatic has changed. Also I'll be driving at let's say 2600 rpm, let off the throttle and the rpm reading on the AFC stays at 2600 till I go over it again, it'll show throttle position dropped off but the rpm stays there. Is that normal? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I just don't want a $350.00 dash ornament.
Thanks again,
Kilo

Hi,
Well none of that sounds right unfortunately.
It sounds like something is wired wrong. I had mine wired wrong, and I checked, double-checked, then checked again, and I THOUGHT it was right, but later realized it was wrong. You can wire it upside down or backwards fairly easily, make sure all the pins are right and you're splicing the a/f wire correctly.
Mine definitely shows the +/- correction.
As for the rpm staying at 2600 until you go above it again. If you hit the joystick "up" once, it freezes the highest values read. Are you in that mode? You would have had to switch to this mode, otherwise it should obviously reflect the instantaneous values. I go to this mode before a wot run sometimes to watch if the knock count peaks. Mine still shows the current correction factor btw, even in this mode.
Anyway, sorry if this isn't more help, just go through the wiring very carefully again and make sure you counted the pins correctly.
Good luck,
FB
