Karman readings
Hi,
I read that a Karman reading of ~1700 should lead to fuel cut.
I actually put my SAFCII on karman in monitor mode to see what kinds of readings I get. At idle, it reads 28 (sometimes going to 27 or 29, but pretty constants at 28). I also checked for max reading and hit almost 1600 with a few wot runs.
Is this useful for tuning, like do you want to get close to the max fuel cut reading to indicate that you are flowing a lot of air? Of course, you should look at a/f and egts, but if you don't have those gauges, can you use the karman reading for any insight?
Thanks,
FB

No but really I would like to know roughly when fuel cut hits if it is at all possible to get a semi close reading of when it happens. I believe, I may be wrong, that DSM's factory will hit fuel cut at around 1606 or at least thats when thier MAF's get pissed. Is this at all close to the Evo?

On my Evo 8, I usually read 1645 - 1665 at redline with no fuel cut ........but last night I actually recorded 1775 and still did not get a fuel cut........I find it strange, since most people state the 1700 limit..................(stock injectors, turbo, etc.)
