the hood vent is awesome..Definately worth the money for a nice finishing detail. Behold my superior ventage.

Actually thats true I have a seibon CF hood no vent I notice alot of fumes exiting, So with vents on your gonna overheat pretty easily especially with headers.

LOL at some of the comments here. Technically it's a louver. You're not seeing fumes, you're seeing heat rising out of the vent. The exhaust manifold is directly below the louver, so if it rains a lot in your area removing the vent would get a lot of direct rainfall directly on the exhaust manifold, not the greatest idea to rapidly cool the hottest gasketed surface in the car.
