Gruppe-S is pleased to announce the release of our Ecutek™ reflash for the EVO 8.
Sale Price:
Mail in reflash - $699 w/ FREE overnight shipping
Local customer - $699 w/ FREE Dyno tuning
$50 off reflash if purchase with any power mods (dp, exhaust, cams, etc...)
With our years of experience tuning high-performance race vehicles such as the WRX US-Touring Car as well as numerous Rally and drag cars, we have perfected the art of tuning a high performance vehicle and extracting the maximum power without compromising safety.
We have found through months of testing that the Ecutek reflash is far superior to reflash systems that many of our competitors offer. The Ecutek reflash allows for far greater tuning flexibility, tuning stability, and additional features such as 2-step, effective scaling for larger injectors, effective scaling for larger MAFs, etc.
In essence, the ECUtek reflash is powerful and flexible enough to accommodate a wide range of EVOs, from cars that are completely stock to cars that are heavily modified.
Presented here is our Stage 0 map, which is developed on a COMPLETELY stock 2003 EVO VIII GSR. The only modification we have made is to the ECU, and a minor modification to the boost solenoid.
Gains of 18.2whp were achieved without sacrificing any low-end to midrange torque on CA 91 octane. Rev limit was increased, and AFR remains at an ultra safe 11.2 : 1, even at 95+ degree weather (it’s hot on the dyno!). Did we leave power on the table with an 11.2:1 AFR? Yes we did, but our tuning philosophy is maximum power and maximum safety.
In essence we have developed a map as the stock EVO should have been from the factory – a 300HP car out of the box on California 91 octane pump.
We will be releasing our Stages 1, 2, and 3 maps shortly, which will range from basic bolt ons to a GT30R. Stay tuned!
Below are the before and after dyno graph results (stock Evo on CA 91 octane):
Before
After tune:(Much smoother power band)
Comparison graph: (smoother power band and great tq on high rpm)
Thanks,
Tom

Nothing is installed into the ECM.

Wow I can't wait to move back home ( Oregon ) so I can come down and visit you guys!!! I'll be leaving Hawaii in late Sept.
A little OT... Is Ecutek going to make Delta Dash software for the EVO...or do you guys know of any data logging software like the DD for the EVO?

several questions:
1) any additional parts required on installation (MBC, removal of boost pill, etc)?
2) available for an 05 evo?
3) on an 05, if the ecutek flash is performed, can the car be flashed back to stock for resale, without throwing checksum error thus giving away the fact that it was flashed twice?
TIA,
Greg

1) no additional parts will be required except to change a restrictor pill to control the duty cycle
2) yes is available for 03-05 evo
3) It can be flash back to stock but the Ecutek license will still be on the ECU so another Ecutek tuner will know its been reflash before.
Thanks,
Tom

Hi,
Sorry missed that one.
It's $195/hour for tuning after the license has been paid for. The bulk of an Ecutek reflash is for the licensing fee. Usually any Stage 1 to 2 work will only be an hour for tuning (hence $195). However if you're bringing in water injection, custom turbos, or stroker motors, it'll be more.
We are currently wrapping up work on our stage 1 and stage 2 maps and will keep everyone updated!!
Guys, keep in mind we're tuning off a Mustangdyne 4WD dyno, which offers connected 4wd (much nicer on the center diff) as well as true loading capabilities!
Cheers,
Thanks,
Gary
