Helix V2 >ULTRA LIGHT< Camshafts & Cam Gears in stock!

Hey guys,

We are pleased to announce the release of the Helix V2 ULTRA LIGHT Camshafts & Cam Gears.

Low weight is extremely important in a high performance valvetrain. Less weight means less rotational intertia. Mitsubishi Motors says lighter camshafts "save rotational weight, and less inertia means that engine RPMs build faster and acceleration times go down" - Mitsubishi website RE Lancer Evolution

HELIX ULTRA LIGHT 272 CAMSHAFTS

The Helix V2 Camshafts are 272 duration billet camshafts that are far superior to the competition. Ground from a billet design, the camshaft is both stronger and lighter than the competition. Weighing in at a feather light 2.99 lbs (compared to HKS 4.3lbs) these camshafts are precision ground and heat treated to a Rockwell hardness over that of the stock camshafts. Gains of over 25whp are achieved with the use of the Helix 272 camshafts with reasonable idle quality.
-272 Duration
-Billet Design
-Ultra light 2.99lbs
-Superior Rockwell hardness
-Polished Lobes
$449 Shipped!! (pair)

HELIX ULTRA LIGHT CAM GEARS

The Helix Ultra Light Cam gears are made from anodized T6061 aluminum for superior strength. Weighing in at an ultra-light .99lbs each, these cam gears allow +/- 12 degrees of adjustment to allow the user to fine tune their horsepower levels. The light weight cam gears also reduce rotation intertia thus improving valvetrain response.
$199 Shipped!! (pair)

HELIX V2 CAMSHAFT & HELIX CAM GEAR COMBO

Are there any plans or projected dates for IX cams?

t51quicksilver - yes the IX cams are in the works.

ohhtree - the performance gains are similar to the HKS 272's (we have never tested heads up against the GSC cams), but they are MUCH lighter (2lbs per cam).

Thanks,

Gary

Seems like a great deal! Just a few questions...
Any warranty available?
Where are these made?
How soon for the 9s?

Hi,

We've done quite a few cars with the Helix cams out there, we've obtained similar results to HKS cams on every single car.

There's a one year warranty on the cams, but I don't see them breaking The Rockwell hardness is actually higher than stock making more wear resistant. The 9 cams are not available as of yet. The Helix cam cores are made in Asia then ground at a factory that does it for a few other JDM tuners.

Thanks,

Gary

What differences are there between the V1 and V2 cams?

The V1 cams were slightly less aggressive (standard billet cams) and non-hollow cored with coated lobes. The V2's are also billet cams but of a different material which allows hollow coring, slightly more aggressive, with polished lobes. The final lift of both the V1 and V2 cams did not change as it is at the maximum the 4G63 safely allows.

Cheers,

Gary

I have Helix 272's w/ matching gears (set to -4/-1) and they are awsome. Everyone comments on how my car lopes at idle and it pulls like a beast!
