I didn't read the classifications very close.

I have noticed (after the fact) that everyone else is running in BSP with their Evos.

As long as you left with a smile on your face you're winning! Looks like that wasnt a problem. Nice pics. Iam liking the wingless look on the autox course.

About the video though, a buddy of ours has it, it was d/l to a laptop but the quality was shot so we have to re-do it. I'll talk to him about it this weekend maybe.

Interesting that you picked up on that too. Many parts of the course "appear" to be quite close to immovable objects. Then you've got 2 people filming with camera's and what "appears" to be someone working the station, no spotters visible. Maybe down south they do things different like.

The course wasn't as close to soild objects as the pictures make it appear, there was more than enough room on the back side, but the 300zx was hauling and it was a pretty gentle hop up over the curb. I was doing 61mph in the same spot in my CRX, so he was probably doing that or a little more.

The guys with cameras.. yea, we (organizers of the event) freaked out a little about that. It was during fun runs and The workers got stupid like it didn't matter. I know something was said to them, but it only takes a second for the moment to live on in infamy.

Like that corvette video thats floating around the net...

Like I said, just an observation. We've had our share of "incidents" here in the northeast too....one even involved a port-o-potty...fact is I'm just jealous cause all we have is karting right now in the NE....

Yea.. i wish both that picture and the one of the car on the curb were not up on the web.. we ask if people get pictures like that for them not to post them, but I am also not going to be crazy and try to censor people.

I feel the course was safe, the car going over the curb was only the 7th or 8th incident I have seen in person at an SCCA event, and I have been going for 11 years and probably been to 200+ events. That's why when it's an incident like that, I will post up how I feel it was handled, or if something was wrong. I have been a safety steward, (though my license isn't current) so I still watch out for that stuff, not only because it's in the rules, but it's my *** out there as well.

The camera pic is the one that bugs me.. we really watch out for that.. and it happened, and then made it to the web. I can tell you that everyone is going to get a butt-chewing for it at the next autocross driver's meeting, as we have already gone around about it in e-mails.

Look, personally, i don't believe the course was unsafe in any way, shape, or form. There was ample room for correction before a car would come anywhere near something other than an inanimate object.

Wreck, incidents, whatever you want to call them are eventually going to happen if you hold an event for a legitimate amount of time, its just keeping the happenings down to a minimum, which i think you guys are doing a great job at. Like i said, the incident with the Z is just something that will happen every once in a blue moon but its not right to try and hide it from the public (i'm glad the pictures were not edited for this reason) because i think for the most part, everybody knows what goes on at an autocross or any motorsports event and have some idea of what might/could happen. But they choose to attend the event anyways so that is in their hands.

As far as the camera guys go..... The only people allowed in the, "danger zone" were drivers themselves, in which case they had already read/understood the waver and signed it accordingly. They know what can go wrong if a car goes astray and you would think take the necessary actions to GET OUT OF THE WAY! Even if looking through a camera/camcorder lens. You can still see what is going on and have an idea of where the car on the track is, so you can avoid getting injured or worse. But..... if somebody does get injured while not necessarily holding a camcorder/camera, but not paying any attention in general to their surrounding's i think that is their own problem. It is within yourself to pay attention and be aware of what is going on around you. Sure somebody can tell you what to do, or what not to do but if you choose to break the rules and something bad happens, thats in your hands and your hands only. It has nothing to do with the organization or the location. Its just plain common sense.

But thats just my .02
