GSC S1 Down Under
Finally got my S1's after a months wait, but are they worth the wait, a resounding YES.
Cams were fitted last Friday along with Springs, Retainers, & Cam Gears, this followed a turbo upgrade the week before.
The turbo fitted is a TD05HRA16G 10.5. RS9 with Ti/Mag wheels, the only remaining upgrade is an Apexi Power FC to complete this upgrade, this will happen later this week.
But back to the Cams, with this turbo the car now starts to spool at 2300RPM & reaches peak boost by 3800 RPM, 1.38 Bar (20PSI) & holds steady to 6500RPM, haven't revved over this yet & haven't turned the boost up yet.
The best part is the mid-range, at 2500 RPM it is making 88KW, (118HP), by 3500RPM it is making 181KW, (243HP).
This is a well worthwhile upgrade, it is exactly what I was after, & should only improve with the addition of the Power FC, the power hits at 3000RPM & really pushes you back in the seat, & there is no let up to redline.
Greg, thanks mate great cams, I don't think many are useing them over here yet, but they will all get a look at how they go at our EVO Nationals in November.
PS Mate I'd love a KILL STI Decal.

glad they are putting a smile on your face! i would love to sell more cams down your way, we are all over the UK now and of course the US but i could always use some more business down under... world wide domination! hehe
i'd love to get you a kill decal, just wish you would have let me know before they shipped out of here... i'll see if i can put one in the regular mail for you. might take a month to get there but it should make it! what color would you like?

The car has had quite a few changes since my last post, Power Fc now fitted & Turbo changed to a locally produced 20G & Sard 800cc injectors fitted & a re-tune.
Very happy with the way the car is now performing, prior to injector upgrade, the stockers were running 95%IDC & seeing serious knock in the higher RPM range with 22PSI boost.
After having the 800cc Sards fitted & boost wound up to 23.5PSI, the car exhibits no knock, & IDC is now 69% & power has jumped to about 245KW from 201KW.
Idle is lopey, (now sounds like it has cams), but has no hunting, just steady idle @ 980RPM.

Great setup on the car. Mine is similar, but without the ralliart stuff and without the AYC controller and without the 98octane... Im going E85(ethanol). The S1 Cams are Awesome in my book.

27/05/2010 Update, car is still running same trim as 2 posts above, don't take it to the Drags much as it is a circuit car, but did go out 2 weeks ago.
Boost set @ 24.5PSI & street tyres, running about 102octane, got a 12.3sec @ 112MPH.
Very happy, love these S1's.
