my S2 cams are not working
I got a S2 cams a long time ago, I did got some feedback at first, but just a little, later on I got a tune by JohnBradly ( MidgetSpec ) I never felt the different with the tune before or after. But he saids this is how it works, so until today, I test the power with my friends 03 evo with 298whp dyno, we were side by side on every test, suchs at 1st gear 20 miles run, 2nd gear 30miles run, etc. He only has a cat-back exhaust, intake and a tune running 22psi. I have every bolt on with WORKS 880 injector, 255 fuel pump and S2 cams, running same psi.
Now the question is, I shouldn't have only 300whp with an s2 cams right?
What makes my power went down? Because of the injector? Or the tune is not done well.
PS: Mine is a evo8 03 too.
Thanks
Julian

My guess is difference in the tune- you could go dyno your car on the same dyno as your friend (make sure in similar temperature and weather), and that would give you a factual answer

lol, I have never heard of a cam or cams not working unless you got the wrong spec cams. You should post up your dyno sheet prior to the cams and then the one after the cam install.

Its pretty hard for cams to not work. Did you degree them in when you installed them? What do you have the centerlines set at for the intake and exhaust? I think you will find the problem in other places.

well, i would say it is pry the tune to be honest.... BUT, the S2 cam is made for a bigger turbo, ie a 35r, the s1 is more a cam that you would want of the stock sized turbo, i dont honestly know if there is a possibilty of TOO much cam but i think you are running a cam a little big for your set up

you should have walked away from the other car though my guess is like stated earlier i bet you have a boost leak or maybe a tooth of timing was skipped on the belt when the cams were installed- once you get a boost leak test and check ur timing- get a street or dyno tune not a mail in
