I will have to wait and see about the fans when that time comes.

The manifold was made from scratch by the mechanic at Cnfx Performance, I will be running 6lbs of boost to start because I am only running stock internals for now.

nice man, real nice.

it'd be nice to list what components your using in your setup (injectors, turbo, fpr, pump, fuel controller, etc)

who's gonna do your tuning? i would think your pretty close to turbotrix, might be worth it to do a simple street tune, then bring it (carefully) over to TT and have them final tune it.

Looks good man! Where's Easton, PA? I live in York, PA which is pretty close to the maryland line. We should meet up sometime and compare when you get yours done. I have the RRM stage 2 turbo. It will be good to have another boosted lancer in PA! Good luck with the install and tune!

I would advise you on moving the fans. Get a pair of nice SPAL 12" electrical fans and mount them in front of the radiator. It will help clear out some space for heat dissipation and not melt the stock fans.

Nice looking kit though, good luck with it.

It will definetly melt plastic.. Put heat wrap over it or ceramic coating. But it does look really close or even looks like its touching. That type plastic doesn't melt as easily as most, but I would definetly take a precaution of that. The smallest gap I would leave between the turbo and plastic piece would be 1.5 to 2 inches. They make thinner cooling fans specifically designed for turbo applications you know. Just trying to look out for ya so you don't accidently melt part of this and cause a bigger headache. Imagine jamming your fan because that little plastic shroud guard folded down because of the heat, then it causes your fan to go off. Then the engine won't be cooled well, potentially causing it to overheat and seize up on you. That would not be good. =(

man, my exhaust alone melted my rad fan (when i wasn't running any FI)

my downpipe fell off and the exhaust gases spilling from the header plain melted my fan. still runs, but i'm not sure for how long, i might have to source another fan

just wondering how much this is running you cost wise. I'd love to go turbo and right now im leaning toward the tsi kit. But if the one your building is comparable pricewise I may contact the company you are using.
