Gt28rs

A friend of a friend wants to sell me this turbo but I was wondering if I should look out for any sort of install and fitment (etc) problems?

Anysort of turbo brackets, and such do I need?

Any help would be great.

It's a great turbo for small boost applications. It's just a matter of piecing together the kit for it...

MARCH 2007!?... That's so late.. I was thinking of doing an install within the next month or so? I'm fairly scared of piecing a turbo kit together because even though this or that "name brand" is amazing... They don't always seem to work in conjunction of everything.

But thanks for your help guys... I appreciate it...

Oh is there anyway of knowing if it's a legit GT-28RS turbo or not?..

What do you mean legit?? GT28rs is all legit if turbo has dual ball bearing!!! defference is the company who makes it, IF you say legit i guess u are talking about Garrett turbos!!!! it goes around 800-1000, if you get genetics like, Nissan GT28 around 400

No no, my friend's friend is selling the turbo for about half that because it's been used... Its just i don't want to be con'ed with just the interals being GT28RS or something... I remember reading how you can get ripped on turbos by buying only part of the turbo being from say Garett and the other parts are from cheaper made things...

Remember, there are Garrett internal re-build kits for about $100-200. If you think there is too much "play" in the shaft, it's probably needed...
