Help deciding on next mods

Ok, tax season is here yay!

i got some cash to spend on the whip ( lil bit more than a grand ), but im undecided on what, pistons & rods, more boltons, cf goodies .....

Current mods:

RRM Intercooled 16G Turbo kit @ 7psi
RRM Aluminum Pulley
RRM Stage 2 Clutch
Fidanza Lightweight Flywheel
Filled fron engine mount
2 1/4 Straight exhaust

What do you guys suggest?

intake manifold & throtle body?
camshaft & adj cam gear?
pistons & rods?

Maybe i should just get the car dyno tuned for 9psi, ive read everywhere stock internals will hold that with a good tune, right?
The RRM kit runs very rich 9.5 afrs, if i get a good shop to tune it to 11.5 at 9psi i should be set for 220whp maybe?

Ahhhh, i cant make my mind up

Either coilovers, or pistons and rods and up the psi. But the install and tune will cost a lot more. So yeah, maybe the rest of the bolt-ons: IM and TB, that will only be about $600 from RRM and you can install yourself. Then get a CF hood.

If you want the power then i say do throttle body and have it dyno tuned to peak performance with a little bit more boost. i dont know what your using for fuel mods tho???? Upgrade them if needed. Pistons and rings would fall under a rebuild and cost alot because you would need to buy rods too to make it bullet proof!!! Rods and pistons are like 1400 bucks, plus machine shop cost! Maybe even do the front suspension and lower the front so that weight isnt thrown back anymore. You could just do springs.

i'd suggest a good tune. for the money you'd get better performance and increase the longevity of your motor with a good tune.

Cam, IM and TB. Then use the rest of the money for a tune.

i would say go for the pistons and rods, then get the open source ecuflash and cable from the company listed on the tuning forum, then port match your intake and head maybe enlarge it a bit. depending on how confident you are. you get the best of all worlds. thats just my personal opinion though.

ooo pretty. I'm sure you will like those once they are in and the boost is cranked up a bit. Can't wait to see what you think about them

alright, i took some time off work to get the pistons & rods in and finished it last night, fired right up, no problems so far, im just wondering if anyone knows how to break them in correctly? im told by a couple of people to just not boost and drive normal for 500 miles, does that sound about right?

im kinda shocked at how smooth it all went, this is the most complicated work ive done to the car ever, well see how it holds up under boost after the break in and for how long, im prepared for the worst, like my buddy always says, you're not going fast enough unless youre breaking ****!

on my truck i put 1000 miles on it before i started to put my foot in it. thats just me though.plus i think the extra heat could compromise the new rings i would definately go boostless if i were you. highway miles are better than in town. my two cents. thanks. good luck.
