Who has the RRM Magnum fuel rail with their turbo?
Hey guys, I have the RRM magnum fuel rail and I am wondering who else has this on there turbo lancer.
I am currently running the FMU and fuel pump setup as my only other fuel mods.
I think i am running quite rich, as i am at 9.8-10.5 at full boost.
is this TOO rich? could i actually be losing power. This fuel rail is HUGE!
any help would be great.

i thought 11.0-11.5 was optimal for turbo.
im thinking i will pick up some 370cc injectors. but if i pick up the injectors i will take off the fmu? or does that still stay on?

THis is to funny,
14:1 is for N/A and when turbo cars are in vacuum.
12:1 is a safe and good target to shoot for with a turbo.
but to answer the original question, you are running very...VERY rich. The fuel rail is not causing the richness, your fmu is. You need to change fmu's or the internals to lower the fuel pressure so you can lean out the a/f to get it back to 12:1. Untill then you are wasting gas and lossing a good 10-15hp atleast.
OH, and yes, i did have the same fuel rail.

what was ur a/f ratio at? did you have a wideband.
also 14:1 is way lean for NA, i was told 13:1 and even at about 13.3:1 i had some knock. this was on 91 octane.
thanks for you input though cincy.

i didnt have a wideband, but i was in somewhere around 12:1. I had a gt28r custom setup.
For a N/A, stoich is 14.5:1.
But really, lean it out, and you will run much better.

Just wondering what my fuel pressure should be at when i wot, i am installing my fuel pressure gauge from prosport tommorow. (i have the vortech fmu from rrm)

Be careful with the vortech fmu. It made me run extremely lean to the point if I didn't get on a dyno to tune, I could have really messed up my engine. The wideband should help with that problem though. What computer are you using? A chipped stock ecu or stand alone?

thats why you get a recalabration kit, they are $40 from vortech and im sure cheaper elsewhere. http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com/product.php?p=31
dont know the current duty cycle of the injectors, but they should be able to push out just a little more to richen up the mixture.
