Hey i got that same set SC has and i don't know what size drill bit to use before i use my tap? anyone know what drill bit size i use before i tap with my 1/2 tap?

Well I did some trial and error on a spare piece of wood. It is def not 5/8 or 11/16, they are too small. It is not 7/8 cuz that one i was just able to fit in my piece without any work. So i think its 3/4 which of course i dont own
i asked my dad and he said we don't have it.

Measure the tip of the tap, and that's the size you need. Remember that the tap will stretch/cut the metal as it goes in, so it should be a really tight fit.
Pick up some of these. They're handy for whenever you need to drill metal.

I drilled in a peice of wood first, then i tapped that, its is 3/4 inch. Problem now is i ordered that tap shizzle from freight and i dont have anything to go on top for me to turn it!!!

lol damn you're buying way too much for this. We got a drill bit that was like 5*/7* size (*s = can't remember the number). And a tap from Ace and that was it. Good luck with it.

Haha yeah we couldn't figure it out either and one of our friends just got a wrench and tapped it right in. Glad it worked. Hopefully you won't have any leaks
