Coolant:
Sudden release of hot organic chemical vapors or mists from process
equipment operating at elevated temperature and pressure, or sudden
ingress of air into vacuum equipment, may result in ignitions without
any obvious ignition sources. Published "autoignition" or "ignition"
temperatures cannot be treated as safe operating temperatures in
chemical processes without analysis of the actual process conditions.
Use of this product in elevated temperature applications should be
thoroughly evaluated to assure safe operating conditions.
Coolant hitting a hot turbine housing...which can glow red when boosting strongly...can flash the coolant into combustion. Seems like a probable cause. I would take some non-flammable brake clean and spray down the area then rinse with water. Start your engine and check for any leaks. Then drive around again and see what happens. If you see smoke again then pull over and check it out. Have a fire extinguisher handy.

Well i bent my oil stick, so thats taken care of. I got an oem gasket for the turbo, but it still leaks. I am going back to rrm's fitting, i had my own which is a hybrid shape for the GT25 and t25. I think this is the issue.

Oil return Horror: HELP!
Guys, I am freaking out.
Now, I have the rrm t28 turbo. I had ordered the "gt28/t28" oil return flange, which allowed me to use a 5/8 barb instead of using rrm's oil return line. I also attempted to use a gt28 gasket cuz these douchebags at atpturbo sent me the wrong one, which they insisted was right.
I had a leak on the oil return.
I went to mitsu and picked up an oem gasket, then came back. Tooka a bunch of **** apart and installed it, still using the gt25/t25 fitting.
I had a leak on the oil return.
I whipped out the original RRM accordian looking piece. Installed that with oem gasket. Tightened it. It ran for about 20 mins at idle, no leak. And i took it around the block, no leak! then i parked and waited, then took it out again, On the way out of the driveway. Smoke.
I have a leak on my oil return.
Is there an end to the madness. Hell no it seems. So i am stranded at home.
**** this oil return Shizzle.
I am pissed and i don't know what to do. If i use the right gasket, and right fitting, and tighten that *****, why is it leaking????????
