nice, you have what i wanted to do to my 99 mirage but never did (provided for some nice fantasies though). one other thing though even though its only 7psi you are actually runing the static compression plus 7psi, your static compression is 11:1 already so 7 psi is like boosting more that 10+ psi (pulling this out my *** but i think its true) be very carefull with the timing... good luck gonna go jump start the mirage.

thanks man. I won't worry about the whp numbers now. I just want it to be on safe side, then work myself up. Will see.

I did it all together with my old rpw cam. So I can't tell you a true difference from p&p. But I hear that turbo benefit more from p&p head.

^Yes, P&P is mainly going to be seen in a F/I application. I totally bypassed reading the bulk of your list of mods and now see that you're going to risk throwing a rod. Stock rods w/o ARPs I'm assuming will be the weaking link..good bye!

I'm having little problem with my emanage, I cannot get a connection between laptop and unit itself. It just stays offline.

He was referring to ARP rod bolts. They do make them for the 4G94 engine. Your weak link will be your rods. The 4G94 rods are extremely thin. Everytime I'm gunning my car through the gears in my head I'm imagining the huge boom that's gonna come when one of my rods goes through the block. Instead of buying forged rods I'm gonna look into getting my extra set cryo'd, shotpeened and having ARP bolts installed. This way I can continue running 12psi without fear of popping my motor.

You are running 12 psi on stock block? Did you retard the timing?

I thought that pistons are the weakest link in 4g94, than the rods.

pretty much everything thats underneath the 4g94 hood is weak.

Stock block, yes. I've got my ignition timing pretty low. Zero knock across the board with 11.3:1 AFRs. I run 93 octane. Pistons are the weakest link, but they tend to bust their landings under extremely lean conditions and excessive heat in the cylinders. The rods aren't too far behind the pistons though. A little pre-detonation and you'll get a nice viewing window on your block.
