Depends on the driver too. Don't forget they weigh quite a bit more than a lancer.

oh i've beaten one before w/ an exhaust. it was a 30mph roll on 2nd. he was loud as sh*t but i was the one pullin away. when he spotted my car, he actually chased me down in traffic just to race me...probably thought i was an evo...only to find out he got owned by an OZ when he saw my rear lol

If all he had was an exhaust, he could easily be making less power than stock.

9.0:1 is way too rich if that indeed is what they were at. You'd extract a bit more power if you got them to around 11.0:1.

You could prob get right around the 2 hondo mark if you lean up your fuel.

What are your egt's? bet they're low

Do you have any means to adjust your timing?

seems like your tuner set you up with a conservative tune. I think you can pull some more hp and still be safe.

well if you still have a boost leak it will run rich because you have a mass air sensor. you should really do a boost leak test then you would know if its that or your tune

I agree that you should get it sealed up and tuned, also keep inmind that the hp number you get has another factor; the weight of your car. Most people seem to forget hp/weight ratio is what get you there faster or slower than the other guy (discounting bad drivers or equipment). So like Amby said, if they are heavier and making about the same hp they won't be as fast as you. So, don't pick on light cars, find the big fat heavy ones!

It's a matter of how you race too. If you took on an STi from a stop, you wouldn't stand a chance. From a roll it's entirely possible.
