turbo on auto...is it really gonna make it faster? or it just saves some gas???
hmm..or it faster..but just a little bit...
wonder if i take out AC and stuff for AC..will it have enough room to put in a turbo on an auto...w/o getting the baby battery..that things looks weak..no offence
me not gonna get turbo right now....ha..just asking some dumb questinos...maybe wait till i get a decent job when im in college..then ill go for TURBO!!!

Like many of the people here, I don't make too much in the way of money. Salary rates are down, and with the economy the way it is, most people are lucky to have jobs.
Basically, here is what I need to know. The price of the kit, installed by RRM, the length of time required for the install, and what hidded goodies will I need to even bother with this. I know I'll need to expand the exhaust piping. How much for that? Do I need any other extras for this to work properly?
Let me put it this way, saving the cash for this will take forever. With a more exact figure, perhaps I can make it a reality. Add on about 300 bucks for gas to and from your shop and we've got something we can work with.
Oh well, back to work. If I get fired my Lancer will never go fast.

Installed non-intercooled kit is about $3350 +$470. Hidden goodies needed =0. Good to have muffler and testpipe. Can always do it later too. T.B. is nice complement too. Not needed.
Time for install with appointment 2-3 days. Everything would be waiting for you.
Intercooled $3850+ $600 installed.
Taht is pretty dam good considering you drive it home and that is it.

Front mount will fit but no cold air intake. We did it before but can't do it in a complete kit cause we ain't got no AUTOMATICS laying around here. We can ssupply most everything then last 10% of install you are kind of on your own.

with the limits of the auto tranny to handle power and the lack of support from certain products, it almost doesn't seem worth it to TC an auto. I'm so glad I got the manual tranny.
ROCK, what kind of extra maintenance will be needed on a turbo car? i.e. changing the oil more frequently, better tranny fluid/changed more frequently? checking the clutch for wear?

Maintainance is simple. Changing oil more frequently is good. Clutch should be fine, you know how you will drive it. Pretty much it.

hey rock i just wanted to ask you something. do all you do is imports or do you do domestic too? i have a f-150 with a 4.2ltr v-6 any way you can come up with a supercharger kit for it? ill be waiting for your reply.

Right, have posted elsewhere on this forum BOV dump is needed for proper air flow measurement. Wrote more effiecient that is secondary reason to keep boost presure up not spooled up(I used wrong term.) Wrong, Cold is better than hot but right amount measured is more important than temperature.
