i wouldnt say an SRT is evo territory but they are quick cars for the price..just like a cobalt SS T/C..

turbo lancer still wouldnt compete with it.

Love to take our Lancer up against an SRT. We did do a little race against a modded 8 and the car hung right there next to it. Off a roll we are pretty pleased with the power.

The new turbo'd Cobalt SS can beat a stock Evo X. I would say a Turbo'd Lancer running around 10 pounds of boost would be able to take a stock Evo.

not true.. a Cobalt SS has 260hp 260tq. it does give the evo a challange on the track..but necessarily it cant beat a stock X. that extra 30hp and higher rev limiter for the X. you would have to have an average/below average driver in the X and an above/excellent driver in the SS.

The Cobalt did out handle the EVO X in trials on the handling aspect. On a straight line, the EVO would have the Cobalt SS by about a full car length, 0 to 60.

Yea I mean a modded 8 with 272s, reflash, big injectors, turbo back 3 inch, no cat, intake and stock turbo. Pretty fast. I know because I used to own it.
Thanks for asking.
