SRI built it ur self?

I was going to buy and road race SRI but than i my friend with an 08 Altima said do what he did and just go to autozone or pepboys and just like get a "custom" made one... like u know built your own kind of thing it would be cheaper i was wondering if anyone did that and would it really matter... is like better worst or the same?

Anyone?

i havent but i was thinking of doing it. there is a universal kit but still need a place to bolt on the bow with wires. but heres also a thing to look at. the stock air box has a nice hole if you take off the bolted down side. i was thinking of adding in a short pipe and cone.

research before doing things like this

The part with wires coming out of it is your air flow sensor. If you dont use this, the car wont run.

If you want a cheap alternative, check into the ebay intakes for the mazda3. The air flow sensor adapter can be modified to work. Please boys, use the search function
