BOV recirculation

I was just wondering if theres a way to get around having to recirculate the BOV by using EcuFlash. would you be able to change maf defintions so that you wouldnt have to recirculate?

actually yes... But not that it improves anything.. if u dont want it recirculated just because of the sound dampening, i think u turbod your car for the wrong reason.

How can you use ECUflash to adjust for a VTA BOV? If you're on a MAF-based system, any air lost due to venting wouldn't be accounted for thus you'd run rich. I have never seen someone successfully adjust for a VTA BOV using ECUFlash or another stock ECU based system.

That's pretty much the concept. You can't adjust for a proper tune with the BOV running VTA, but you can still run it.....technically. It's not a clean way to run your turbo setup, by any means, but it won't cause it to die at idle as long as the spring pressure on your BOV is stiff enough to allow idle. If you can live with having a sloppy tune on your ECU, then go for it.

I run my Forge BOV recirculated and people think I'm running it VTA when they hear it from outside. All you need is a good intake pipe and a good K&N filter and the BOV sound (that I know this thread was started for) will be there. And besides, unless you're running a built engine with very high boost levels, you are actually hindering performance by not recirculating the excess pressure back into the intake tract.

trust me, im turbo'd for all the right reasons! POWER! POWER! AND MORE POWER! i just happen to like the way a loud BOV sounds. I have a greddy type RS and its music to my ears.. anyways, its not a big deal if i cant do it. i was just curious

You would adjust the fuel levels at certain areas to try and compensate for the loss of air at a certain point. It is more of a band-aid than anything else.

The problem with a VTA is when you shift. I don't know how you could adjust the ECU to add less fuel when you shift.
