So i thought i remember you posting something about not having to make a engine braket for the 4g64 swap and that we can still use are stock bracket? Am i right about this or just wish full thinking

no u can. our engine bracket swaps over. BUT.. like others have said in the past.. its not that strong.. so if u goal is well beyond 200hp. u might as well weld a U bracket in to use an evo mount because it doesnt move like ours does. few lancer guys in the past (on 4g94s) actually stripped the screws out of the passanger side engine mount because of torque.
Its literally 5$ in scrap metal. and 30minutes leveling and mig welding. the rear mount im going to make a full solid mount like the front roll stop that ETS just released. car will have alot of vibration.. but.. who cares, its a racecar

I'm actually one of those that has stripped one of the bolts from the passenger's side mount. I just noticed the other day one of the screws came out. The other two are on there.
I haven't seen this u-shape bracket your talking about though Demon.

Hell no!!!! I'm the pushing the lowest boost on here. Still at 5 pounds baby. It does pull nice though now that I got the MAF scalings better. The damn mount is just weak though thats why the bolt came off.
Never taken it off bro. I have no idea why it came off. But I was very surprised to see it out.
I said that to go with what Demon said. He said people have stripped theres due to torque and the mount being weak. I was trying to help his "the mount is weak" point rather than the power one.

just look at an OEM evo passanger mount.. its basically a CRAP piece of stamp steele that looks like a U... use like.. 2.5'' wide 1/8 or 1/4 sheetmetal. make a box U. weld inplace.. not a big deal.. just gotta make sure its level(ish) and a decent weld..
