There is a screw on the outer edge of the lights that you take out and replace with the one from OEM. Reason being the one on aftermarket doesn't fit in the OEM hole. That's why its not flush and pokes out.

Haha I plan on it, however im guessing 03lances will hate me when we are done with my car lol....he just finished his on his own so im guessing i attempt to help where he needs a 2nd set of hands and the rest is me taking photos/videos (him permiting lol, cant **** off the help).

I cant wait to see if I can keep some traction with this setup. LSD would be nice but ill take my super streets over a lsd :-).

 

Plenty of places for two sets of hands as long as you know how to priorities tasks . Pics are fine with me as long as we have the time, I took lots on my build. Hornstar if you have the funds a tranny jack makes the clutch job so much easier its rediculous. Before I got mine I used wrapped a chain around the trans I was working on (if fwd anyways) and use my engine hoist which worked good too.

 

get an $80 tranny jack from Harbor freight. I got one and made the biggest difference when changing the tranny on the mother-in-law's car.

I think time needs to speed up. We cant really start any of this till the motor shows up and it wont be here till tomorrow then need to get it ready for this swap so depending on 03's schd im guessing not till the 11th/12th at the earliest. The garage bay full of parts is driving me nuts haha.

 

i just take it all outthe top its easier no need for a tranny jack. no need to support anything, just a cherry picker and few ratchet straps. ur swapping motors just take it out the top, while the motor is out u can leave tranny in and swap the clutch then. shouldnt take u but 2-3 hrs to get the motor out the engine bay. and an hour to put it back in. 20mins both ways if u already have everything disconnected

 

That is our plan demon. I have a really nice load leveler too which makes pulling engine and trans together a breeze
