My main whole issue with the lancer before was traction, when I was running 17 pounds on a stock motor, after I would hit a certain rpm It would just pull without any issues but this is me trying to tune it from 2500 up. I still wish awd was not an issue for the lancer.

Im still doing the evo front conversion as planned and then i can just run drag radials the whole time im driving I guess so i don't loose traction. It still depends though I still want at least 400hp with the lancer now since i read demons opinion, anything higher would be ridiulous.

Demon if you can make me a motor mount for the 4G64 once you drop yours in I will pay you for that motor mount to go towards your goodies and I will do the same swap but with a 35r turbo just because i still consider them my favorite turbo. Or I could get an fp black due to the lag issue which wold help out a little with traction on highways. I would hit the drag scene maybe like once in a blue moon. Highways are crazy here in texas ;-)

and honestly. ive lots alot of interest in the car scene. not done with it.. just not into trying to go to everything possible anymore. so im not really trying to push to get anything done lately..
im at the gym 2-3hrs a day 5 days a week after work. and 2 hr runs on the weekend(weather permitting). my priorities have just changed. im getting back into bodybuilding.
I love what you did with your car, but I hate that you haven't had an engine or trans hold up very well...or axle or something else, you get what I mean. Just hate that it's not very reliable, which doesn't give me much hope if I do built internals.

I see people with Whites doing 350+ hp and greens doing almost 450hp, I think a black is overkill (600hp). Even Red's seem to make 500hp in some setups.

i know what u mean.. but with 235/50/15 drag radials.. on the street.. the car is a monster. and i put about 3k miles on the setup(mostly just abuse) without issues.. going to the track has proven difficult. and still working around issues of weak points. most of my breaks have been because of something stupid i was doing.. lol

yeah but you can change the wastegate on them to keep the hp down a bit and still keep the lag almost the same, so far no one here has even made it to 500hp with the 4G94 motor... or even that 400hp

I just meant why not go white or green to spool as fast as possible, if either can make 400hp in the right scenario...I see no harm like you say in a slower spool either, if for no other reason than safety of reducing the torque spike.

Yeah...I'd like to see how well the 400 mark does, or if it is just too insane to keep in line. I did see a bunch of little 900 hp hondas that were linking up just fine with slicks and running sub 10sec 1/4 miles....but that's a little crazy.

I think now that I have "ecu controlled boost", that may be a good way to make more power, and really push it safely, because unlike an MBC, you can hit 12psi in the low RPM, then increase up to 17 or whatever past 4000 rpm or whatever and make more top end juice.

ummm.. leme jump in and let yall know..stock frame turbo on a 2.4L, maken 400hp at 3k-4k rpm on a fwd car.. = 20sec 1/4 car.. or tons of broken axles.
u will never catch traction no matter how much u feather it.

with a 400+ hp setup on a car like ours u need that power in the upper rpms to allow for a 'lag' up time in trq at the lower rpm.. its always funny to see 20-30psi hondas running gt2871s and 30rs at the track.. its like watching special ed buss go bye. and on the street, its even worse, but less broken axles, more burnt rubber.
sacrifice some low end power, and it becomes much more driveable for a fwd setup on the street, and strip. top of 2nd or 3rd with to much power.. slicks are gunna keep u going just fine. actually at 400hp with decent slicks, come 3rd gear, u shouldnt be spinning at all anymore.

since this is kinda on the engine build topic if your going to put rods in the 94 what would be better k1 or speed corps
