2008 Lancer GTS 2.0L Turbo Build - 4B11 NA with RA/Evo setup
Hey Guys,
So figured I'd start this up now as We're going to start preparing everything this weekend and hoping that next weekend I'll be in deep to the install.
Setup:
RA Turbo
RA Manifold
Evo X FMIC
Evo X Injectors
Evo X stock Cams
RA Turbo back exhaust with custom downpipe
O2 Wideband
Tactrix 2.0 Cable and ECU flash
There is a lot more in this project but that's the bulk of it. I've got spare oil pan with oil bung being welded on and feed lines and oil cooler lines as well.
I've attached a few pics that I took just showing what I've picked up and what my car looks like now.
UPDATED 2020!
Car looks much different now and moved build profile to Facebook. You can find me at Mitsubishi Lancer Turbo Club group.
My Instagram is also @isaquenunes80 and @mitsubishi_lancer_turbo_club
A lot has changed and you learn from certain mistakes and improve your build so hit me up there.
Happy Boosting.

Total project will end up costing about $3k I'm too lazy to do it in my garage and don't have the time to let it sit.
I've had to put it on hold for a few months right now as I have a major family situation happen.
Will update when it goes in.
Cheers

Ok so now this is back up and moving. Decided to rebuild my spare engine and lower compression and then do a swap of the engine. I'll be up around $4-5K but at least it's still cheaper than a new car. I plan on keeping it so why not pump some into it and do it right.
Friday I'll be dropping the engine off at the shop.
Cheers

Engine will be back from shop by end of next week.
Block honed, head freshened up, crank cut and polished, added Evo X springs and tappets.
Evo X cams being installed and thicker cosworth head gasket being used.
Hopefully car will be in the shop soon to do the swap.

Here are some pics of the car at the shop building the Engine and we did a Dyno pull to see what my base is. It's 131 WHP! LOL..

Car is back from the shop!
Add me on instagram @isaquenunes80
Made 230WHP on 10PSI. Good enough for Winter Tune. She's a Beast! Will update with Video's and pictures and a complete Build profile with details if what was done and how.
Cheers

Figured I'd follow up with an update of how the engine is holding up and what parts I ended up using! Parts:
Setup:
RA Turbo
RA Manifold
RA BOV
RA Air intake and snorkel to Turbo (odd shape so get the stock snorkel)
Evo X FMIC - Stock IC piping
Evo X Injectors
Evo X stock Cams
Evo X Cam Springs
Cosworth Headgasket
3" Turbo Back SS exhaust with single side dual tip
NTK Wideband
RA Intake Manifold and Throttle Body (Need to small custom inserts for fuel rail)
3bar MAP sensor.
Manual boost controller
Wastegate Solenoids from Evo X Circuit 1&2 to eliminate error codes (Needs to be tapped into wiring harness)
Intake Temp Sensor to clear error code (Needs to be tapped into wiring harness)
DSM 1G polyurethane motor mounts
Tactrix 2.0 Cable and ECU flash (After getting Evo X ECU Vin to my car, I realized that it might be possible to use the stock ECU. I will do some tests in next few weeks to confirm this.)
I had the Evo X fuel pump but the stock one supplied enough fuel for this boost!
So this list compiles the bulk of the parts... Obviously you need to do the oil feed lines and tap into the oil pan but if you aren't aware of this then turbo build might still be far away.
If done right, I'm confident that your build will last! I'm at almost 2k on the build and no issues at all...
Tuned to 10PSI and it really feels strong. I'll keep coming back every so often to update if she's blown up or not! LOL...
Cheers
