4 gauge amp wire running?
Where has everyone run there amp wire. I have 4 gauge wire and i was wondering how people were running from there engine bay into the car. i saw this gromet on the passeger side but the airbag and i think some airconditioner thing is taking up all the room behind the glove box so i cant get the wire through.... any help? any idea where i could bring it in from?
Thanks....Josh

I didn't run mine that way, I went on the drivers side, there's a write up on amp wiring, search for it. But I went through the front drivers side fender (above the wheel well) and then into the cabin with the wires the go in/out of the door. From there, down along the sill and to the trunk. I ran my signal wires down the center of the car, to keep it away from any other 12v source that might be on either side of the car.

I just finished running 4 runs of 4AWG through my car.
I went through the firewall on where the clutch would normally be (i have an Auto) and ran the wire down the center area. I'll post pictures when I get a chance.
2 4AWG positive, 2 4AWG negative. Lots of wire.![Wink](https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Signal cable down the pass. side, spkr wire down the left. All power intersects signal at 90 degree angles.
I grounded my sub amp directly to the battery. The mids amp went from amp -> seat belt bolt -> battery. Instead of just going to the amp with the long run of 4 awg, I got a better ground when I stopped off at the seat belt bolt.
Works killer. Amps run a tad cooler now (not that they ran hot before). I can't really comment on the power issues because I added my cap at the same time.
Again, I'll post pics tonight

No matter what kind of car it is, if it's an automatic you have a easy spot, the clutch plate. That's where i went threw with my 0 AWG. If you have a manual you could drill just to the left or right of the clutch or just do that ugly thing by going threw the grommet n fender.

i ran my 0-guage the way it's run in the tutorial on this site. fit right through the grommet in the driver's door, too. it was a beotch to run, but i managed... in order to run it down the side panels i had to slightly notch out the insides of the plastic side panel pieces. but, all clipped back in perfectly!
