will headunit blow speakers.
I recently bought a JBL 300.1 amp and a 12'' audiobahn sub. right now i just have it wired to my stock cd player but i want to get a new one say that i can adjust my bass better. The only thing is i dont really need new speakers because the ones i've got are decent enough and i dont really feel like shelling couple hundred bucks on this. If i were to get a lower wattage aftermarket unit would it blow my stock speakers. is there anything i can do to stop this from happening

^^ what he said, cut out the bass and you should be fine, the headunit can usually adjust the bass ouput to the speakers....which model weere you looking to get and ill look into it for you?
