Cool new gear ordered... Pics to follow

Just placed my order for my nice shiny new setup (got my taxes back today) the new system will consist of

DLS Iridium 6.2 componant set (to be run active, crossovers will be unused)
DLS A7 Amplifier (5 channels)
Image Dynamics ID8 subwoofer (to be mounted under the dash)
Treo SSX 12.11 custom subwoofer
Treo SSX 1500.1 amplifier for the subwoofer

I'll be touring around ontario this summer, demoing for Treo and DLS.

Very nice. I've long been considering getting some IR 6.2's or 6.3 or even 8.3's...

BUT, I have no clue of any prices (not easy to find online)...for Canadians...

Maybe I should check out Scott Buwalda's site...

SK: if you want prices, email mbruno@kankar.com tell him Jacob sent you. Mark is one of the owners of Kankar, the canadian distributor for DLS.

I'd go with the 6.2 or 6.3, though the 2 ways are easier to install. The 8" mid doesn't sound nearly as good.

and I'm on Team Kankar.... of course I get a discount!! hehehe.

You should look into the new Zapco Comp series. The tweeter is linear from 1.6K - 16K. That is almost an octave lower and much better on the high side than the Iidium tweeter I've been using. It's also half the mounting depth and has an all aluminum threaded chassis. The Midbass is non pressed paper as well, but was .32 Ms faster than the Iridium 6 in the test car. The cheif engineer (Mauro of ESB in Italy) came up with some cool new technology and ideas and they really do sound awesome. If you talk to Mark Bruno, tell him Bill from Sounds Impossible says Hi, I didn't see him @ SBN last week.

It should be in the same range as the Iridium's. They are finalizing the metal machining, packaging and hardware costs in Italy right now, John flew directly there from SBN.

Tell Mark I'll see him @ SVR with the Impossible crew. I got some good feedback in Daytona on my Evo and just have a few little things to do and make the photo log.
