Deck Installed but no sound!

I was able to install my new deck. However, when I turn the car on, the cd player gets power and plays a cd but puts out no sound. It was all plug and play except for one wire. I have the harness hooked up and the antena hooked up. I don't know what the third wire is but it won't plug into the third wire on the unit. Does anyone know what this third wire is and also I am running a 05 Lnace OZ. Could that be another problem?

Also it is not the HU because I got it to work in my eclipse. All wires in harness wired correctly.

ummm, wow, you typed a lot and didn't tell us much. I'd start by double checking every single connection, make sure the speakers are hooked up, if there's an amp between the HU and the speakers, check it with a known good HU...

We need more details. Do you have the sun & sound package? If so just using a regular old harness adapter will not work because that package is powered by the amp under the drivers seat. You need to bypass that amp in order for it to work. Two ways of doing this. Either rewire the car, or go to Best Buy and pick up a Premium System Interface Universal Direct Splice-In, part # IECPSI2 made my Rockford Fosgate for $43.99 and wire it yourself.

ok I found the amp under the drivers seat. So I am pretty sure I need to do what Slovak said, but how is it done (Premium System Interface Universal Direct Splice-In) ? Is it just match wire to wire?
