depending on what shop it was, they should take care of it...might be hard to prove since it has been so long since you have been in. They are going to ask, why havent you came in earlier. Either way they should take care of it...

Back to the speaker issue, your speakers should not be cutting out if they are installed correctly. I would check the polarity on each speaker and the connection behind the radio. Depening on where they put the crosover for your components, you will have to test the polarity for the fronts at the crossover. For the rears you can just check them at the radio. To check and make sure the polarity is not out of phase: simply take a 9 v battery and touch the positive lead to the positive side of the battery and the negative lead to the negative side of the battery. If the speaker pops out, then they are wired correctly. If not they are reversed...
I guarantee you that this is the problem. The radio will not cut out because the speakers are not being powered enough. You will get distortion by trying to get added "volume" from your speakers by turning the gain up on the radio.

I dont know the specs of this radio, but im sure they are not above 25 watts RMS....

way ahead of you.

1. install shop said that i had 14 days from day of install to report damage. looked at back of reciept, they were right. eh new tint is onlt $25.
2. All speakers hooked up right, the shop did that at least and said that the speakers are under powered. got confirmation from 4 installers there.
3. Ovenmitt was a god send with his 5 channel amp. Sadly though, I was offered a 4 channel audiobahn with more power installed at $100. sorry ovenmitt. I do know a guy who will want it though.
