Talking Loyal Lancer Fellows

Well i tried to post a topic on another forum somehwere else but you know how that goes.. peeps hating and ****.... well anyways if anyone has some audio skills help me out... I have a cadence Z1200 amp two 12" Infinity Refrences and One 12" PPI. I heard its not good to mix and match brands...? Anyways my main question is how do i hook up the subs to the amp to get the most power? Mainly i dont get the whole 4OHM/Bridged thing. Right now i have them bridged but i have no idea how much watts their pullin. One last thing is that the two Infins are in a box and the single PPi has its own box therefor i have three speakers wires... I have them all going into the same port to make it bridged. I have a feeling this isnt how it should be. Thanks

Try to PM cupOZnj, he's experienced in setups such as these.
At least I've heard he is. I'm shure he'll help you out.

if you connect in parallel, you divide the number of ohms.
if you connect in series, you add them.

How are the two speakers in your box connected? Are they 4ohm or 8ohm speakers?

The TWO Infinties are wired seperatly therefor i need TWO speaker wires coming from the box to the amp. Also the ONE PPI is in its own box therefor I need to attach THREE wires to the amp! So how do i get it to soud the best?

can't really hook up 3 4ohm subs. at least i wouldn't. if you hook em up in parallel it's like 1.5 ohms or something and your amp isnt' stable to that. you'd have to get another amp to power the 3rd sub. stick with the two subs, wire them in parallel and that will give you 2ohms. then hook them up bridged to your amp.

OK thanks... real quick what exactly is parallel? And on my amp it shows where to put the wires in to bridge it but it says 4OHM bridge!?! Does that make sense... i thought it would be 2OHM?

connect the two subs together with one wire. then run a wire from your amp to one of the subs. that will make them in parallel.
