I would run a high current amp, with one 2 ohm sub. (dual 4 ohm) Putting another sub in will only net you 3 to 6 db more at best on the low end. You could run a 2 channel mixed mono, or a 5 channel to the entire system (amplify the high end also)

Alpine MRD-M605 if only using one sub. Get the dual 4 ohm, wire it for 2 ohms and you will be getting the most out of that setup.

Alpine MRD-M1005 if using two subs. Get the dual 2 ohm, wire them for 4 ohms each, and then wire back to 2 ohms at the amp.

BUT... you don't have to use an Alpine amp with them if you can't swing that much cash. Just look for something with similar specs and you should be alright. Kenwood makes some good amps, as do JL Audio, Clarion, Memphis, Digital Audio (I've heard good things, no personal experience), and quite a few others.

when you get it too make sure you set it up right so your not getting more voice from your subs than you are from your speakers :P

Yeah make sure you properly adjust your crossover.

Memphis MCD1000 Get a pair of dual 4ohm subs and wire em for a single 1 ohm load.
