What kind of music do you enjoy listening to in the car? that could help determine whether a 10" or 12" sub & what type of enclosure (sealed, ported, bandpass) is more suited to your style.

You want to match the amp to the sub, meaning to have a similar RMS rating for both the sub and amp. Using the model you listed, 250 RMS for the sub...match it with a 250/300RMS amp.

Might I suggest a Mono block D-class amp; this is an example of what I mentioned earlier... http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/produ...n_US&p_status=
It's got 300RMS with a 2 ohm load.

No need for a cap/batt, just feed it with a minimum 4-ga wire kit. And depending on whether you're using the factory HU, you might need in-line adapters to use the RCA inputs for the amp.

Any other questions? let us know.

personally im a big fan of memphis amps they make great amps but its really up to u if u want to match the rockford fosgate ..in any case u will definatley not need a cap fer that...in many cases caps can actually do more harm then good..im not gunna go into explaining it unless some1 rly wants me to..

^As you can see I was big into stereo stuff growing up; but still got knowledge and a decent setup still myself. But for rap, do a 12" with either a bandpass or ported box.

Hey Krnkimchi702, I am not sure how set on the P2 you are, but I have a 12" Alpine Type R in an Alpine ported enclosure I could sell you. The sub is in brand new condition, it was only used for about 2 months or so before I bought my Kickers. I saw that you are in the Tucson area, I am in Phoenix but if you wanted it I could drive and meet you somewhere in the middle. Send me a PM if you're interested... it's just sitting in my garage being bored, needing a good car to sit in.

I would like to know how a Capacitator can do nore harm than good. I have two "10's (Pioneer) with a 780 watt Pioneer amp and a sound stream capacitator and my lights still dim a bit I was thinking of getting a seperate battery for my trunk to run the system from, but was told to just upgrade the stock battery. What's the best solution cuz I hate seeing my lights dim whenever my bass hits really hard.

I did, and it helped out quite a bit. Now I just have to stop the rear deck from making so much noise.
