remote starter with alarm

im in the market for a car security system that also has a remote starter. now for everyone who may know which one is the best or has had experience with an exceptional security system, please inform me. as of now, it looks like its either a viper or an audiovox one for me. if anybody has any different opinions or suggestions, please help me out and post! thanks

I have the viper 790xv, and im very happy with it. It s a 2 way system with remote start. You can also add alot of optional things to it if you wanted to.I think i payed 500 total for it. Hope that helps.

I got the Audiovox one installed at the dealers, asked for extra hood and trunk switch in addition to the 4 doors, vibe sensor. Dunno if it has a remote start component, but the dealers can key the alarm to your factory keyless remote.

You can wait a month for the New Viper 791XV, it has a new remote, one more output then the 790 and a built in turbo timer.

oh wow.. thanks for the help ppoL.. now i got more options to choose from if u guys recommend them. im not really looking for an alarm with a 2way pager. im just looking for a reliable alarm with remote starter with that adjustable sensitivity control so it dont get all whacked out and wake ppoL up in the middle of the night. and plus, it gets pretty cold here in winter and really hot in the summer so i just want something to also help me out before i get in the car. but keep the suggestions coming.. thanks for all ur help

Got a compustar 2 way installed today. F'kn pimp unit. Im on the 6th floor and I can see the status of my car in the basement garage. It went off earlier and I went down with my baton and turns out it was a guy with some fucted up exhaust that set my alarm off. Worth the $700 i paid.

well as of now, im planning on getting the viper 550esp with remote starter for $225 (probably an extra $150 for installation).. u guys think thats a good deal? and would anyone that lives in jersey happen to know where i could install it for cheap? if not, could any of you give me a rough estimate on how much i should expect to pay for installation?

sounds like a good deal but find a good shop to do it. Ive been to 4 shops, and 3 of them had gangstas working there.

oh i'll definitely try to find a shop that'll actually try to install the alarm instead of taking your car.

Thats good price, the 560 will be out in a month to replace the 550. The 560 will have smaller remotes (like the 650), one extra output and a turbo timer. The new 474V smaller remotes that come with the 560 can be programed into your 550. In the 474V if you put in put two of the 2016 batteries in the 474V instead of the the one 2032 that comes with them, you will gain almost twice the range.

need alarm help

I own Auto Addictions and besides doing performance work we started out as a car audio and security shop. Ive been installing alarms for 15 years. We sell Viper,Hornet,Alpine and Code alarm
aside from these ive installed about everthing out thare. The viper
790 vx is a nice system if your looking for a 2way paging alarm.
However the Hornet 554t has more functions a way cooler remote
and its 100 bucks cheaper. About 650 for the viper with key bypass or 550 for the hornet. My shop is in south jersey if your looking for a professional install.. From on evo owner to another
id be glad to help !! If you need more info call my shop at
1-888-374-7000 we can help you put that evo in the 12s too!!
