Question dash kit for headunits...

where can i get a dash kit for 03 lancers? do i need a specific one for a specific headunit ?

Our lancers, including yours, doesn't need any special "kit" to install. It's a std single din size, so any HU of single din size will work. Just use a wiring harness designed for the lancer to help aid with the wiring install...

May I add its the easiest thing to do. Just slide the sucker in.

Ha reminds me of the time I was puttin in my alpine. I got my factory unit out and then spent at least 45 min to an hour trying to figure out just how the hell I get the alpines cage attached back there. When I was ready to give up and got my dash put together I finally figured out that you just slide the cage in the opening in the dash piece. Needless to say, I felt dumb.

Yeah, actually I didn't have the joy of installing my Alpine...CC did the install free with the HU purchase. But once the old HU is out, it's a matter of two minutes getting the new wiring harness plugged in, the radio ant. plugges in, putting in the cage and folding down the tabs, and sliding the new HU in. Cake!
