The thief comes with a knife most of the time.

Knife + Car Cover = No more car cover.

Get the autolock for yourself. Its one of the best compared to the steering wheel locks you see because this device locks up your breaks. Without the breaks, our EVOs won't even start and even if it does start, he won't be able to stop. So when he sees that, he won't steal it cuz its too much trouble.

The Autolock is bullet proof and freeze proof. I saw a live demostration of it. They tried to cut it with a fence clipper and couldn't even cut it.

But then again, if a thief really wants your car, there are always ways to get it...

ytsejam,

what apartment complex in Davis is gated? i lived there from 96-2000 in Greystone apts on 5th street.

I agree with the autolock it is pretty good saftey for the price if you are worried about it being stolen however it will do nothing to stop vandals and people breaking into your car and stealing and messing your stuff up.

Someone followed me home and tried to steal my evo this past sunday at 6:30AM and on my driveway. I had the lo-jack passive alarm and it went off when the thief broke the rear driver side vent window. I guess having an alarm just isn't enough, you really need something visible to deter them from stealing the car. BTW, where is a good place to buy autolock?

Know anyone that uses a car cover on their winter beater, or a **** car in general? Seriously, if it's good enough to cover up, it's probably good enough to steal. We're not dealing with a lot of braintrusts here, but if they can figure out how to steal a car I think they can figure out that if the car is covered, it's probably worth money.
