key transponder in 03 es?

key transponder in 03 es?
im goin to hook up a remote start/ alarm and wanted to know if a 03 ES has and key transponder on it. it doesnt seem like it to me but i wanted to check.

Nope...the normal Lancers do not have the transponder, Only the 03-06 Evos have it. That is until 08+, then all Lancers and Evos have it. Just some Info for ya
