Sony Headunit problem

Whats up everybody i was curious if anyone else had this problem, i have a sony cdx-mp80 w/slide out tray and g protection which is supposed to eliminate skipping, i also have a jlaudio 12w7 and the jlaudio 1000/1 amp powering it, my amp is turned almost all the way down, and i still get awesome seat rattling bass, but the the cd skips i was told it is because of the head unit, since when the tray slides out, it slides out at an upward angle because of the angle of the dashboard. So now i was told to get the cubby hole adapter to relocate the headunit, so when the tray opens, it opens straight, anyone else have a problem with skipping w/ this headunit, thanks

CD Skippage

I have a Sony CDX-CA810X in my lancer with 2 10" subs in the trunk. I never have a problem with my CDs skipping, but then again I don't ever really crank the bass either. Just wanted to let you know. Good luck fixing it my man.

How did you mount it? The instruction manual for my old MP-70 said that if you mount it at more than 20 degrees or something like that, skips increase. You might want to look at mounting it using the cubbyhole, but the tray might get in the way of the shifter.
