I'm new to this forum, but I have done a bit of research here but haven't found what I'm needing. Small background on me, you can search my username on the net, what you will find is I'm very much into car audio and have been since ~92 and do 99% of my own work.

My neighbor/friend just traded in his truck for a 2010 EVO MR.
He has a sub/amp from his truck that he wants to put in the MR in place of the RF 10". What I'm needing is the following"

1) Were is the factory sub amp located?
2) How (pics if possible) do you remove the entire sub/box from the car
3) If anyone has removed/replaced the sub/amp in this car, please suggest/guide me. The factory sub amp might be to powerful for a LOC so I'd like to know any other options.

My neighbor went from a 2006 Mitsubishi show truck that had two Audiobahn Eternal 15" subs in it each powered by its own Audiobahn A1300HCT amp (1200 wrms x 1 @ 2 ohms). The factory RF sub will/does not keep up for his tastes. We've decided to put one sub/amp in the car and remove the RF sub and amp, if possible. The sub will be in a 3 cf ported box so the factory sub needs to come out for space reasons.

Pull back the trunk carpet, unbolt box from trunk, unplug sub/box, remove single bolt holding sub in box. Amp should be under driver's seat (?)

Do you by chance know the color wires that are the audio signal TO the amp?
