it's not hard at all. i actually took out my dimmer knob since i keep it on the same setting always. i just pushed it back behind there. then i custom made a little spot to mount my stereo knobs (amp gain knob and Epicenter knob).

That sounds like it could be right.
Its not hard at all to mount a switch there either. I put one there for my Fog Lights as well, doesnt fit real well because i just used the switch that came with the KIT - but i am planning on buying a better switch sometime when i am not lazy haha

here's a pic of my dimmer spot... like i said before, i took the dimmer and dropped it behind the dash since i never mess with it. so i replaced it with a piece of ABS plastic and woodgrain on top of that (matching to my lancer's stock woodgrain). the 3 holes = amp gain knob (dont have that amp anymore... empty hole), LED light for my Epicenter, and the knob for my epicenter.

here's what i did with mine
you'll notice that i pulled off the panel on the side of the dash. this is a very simple way to get to the switch area. once there the panel holding the dimmer switch and the open space will also pop out fairly easily. you'll notice it's kinda stickin out. thats because I haven't really screwed it in or anything so its just kinda hangin there. im not really sure if i wanna screw it in or maybe see if mitsubishi has a replacement switch that will fit in there. if anyone know of one pm me or tell me bout it.
