When lookin at subs that are nice, rms power doesnt really mean much, the expensive subs always underate thier rms, so they wont blow if u run them at rms, but they will always take more.. If you are talkin bout cheap xplod or mtx subs then yes you have to worry bout rms.....but the W6's, it dont matter what the rms is they are nice subwoofers...and will deffinatly rumble.

The alpine R Types are great subs to have. They won't make a big hole in your pocket. They do weigh alot and took up alot of my trunk space. I would recommend the 10" I had the 12s. All you need is a good amp to push the R Types.

ok rms and peak are both a little important depends on the amp you have or are gettingand what it is rated at?????you can get subs that take alot of power or alot of power to even move them
(solobaric)you can get subs that dont take quite as much power to move them for the take your breath away you want subs that move some seriuos air(high excursios or big peak to peak linear movement)whats your budget like?????not good/ok/good/money burning hole in pocket??????????

Speshalk is right some speakers dont even rate rms some dont rate peak clean power is important too speakers can handle more power when its clean power

i have a big hole in my pocket. If you want them cheap you have to work for circuit city or knows someone who does.

jls are ok i had a set of w3 12s and they hit good but they really arent quite take your breathe they will hurt your hears what amp and what is its rating??????if you want that bass and one hell of a small box check out dei's Xcomps 12s take 0.5 cubic feet each thats what most 10s take and they hit hurt your ears the 15s take 0.75 each 2 15s in 1.5 cubic feet you can build the box around them 15Hx30Lx9D

ok so i think i might get 2 alpine type-r's DVC do they knock and i mean better than audiobahn 1206Q or 1200Q will they take my breath away

they do better than audiobahn you'll need an amp to push them i have a friend (installer at the shop i live at)he has a single 12 type R in a ported box that hits great for just one sub in square- ported box

i think im gonna get a JBL 1200.1 and 2 alpine type-r's ok another prob DVC 2ohm or 4ohm whats the diff isnt 2ohm better cause the amp can put out more power. P.S. when i say 2 or 4 ohm im talkin bout the subs
