i voted kenwood. really cheap mp3 deck at the time ($217) has some intermittent faceplate issues tho. every time it gets humid its starts acting up. and its humid all the time here.

What about Denon? and Nakamichi? I'd take either one of those over anything on that list.

Voted Alpine, it's what I'm running right now. There's a lot of tunability to it without a lot of bling BS. I also had a good deck from Pioneer (a GM fit one when I had a Grand Am) and like it as well, though didn't have near the tunability of my Alpine.

I have Pioneer DEH-6600. Sure it was cheap, and doesn't have has many features as other more expensive decks. But I'm a Navy boy and when I saw the animation of the F-14 Tomcat squadron I was sold. I'm not the type of person who will spend several thousand on a sound system like a buddy of mine did on his Focus... something like $4000. If I had that kind of cash I'd buy a turbo or something.

I just got the Pioneer DEH-7600MP, not installed yet. I'm also on a budget and this was on sale and well worth the money IMO. I agree with LancerMMC, spending butt loads of money on a stereo for a regular car is not worth it, maybe on a show car but I drive mine to work every day and I think my setup will be just fine for that.

I voted Rockford Fosgate. They are finally getting their sh*t together and are producing some great stuff. Their base model is reasonable priced and has just as many features as the higher end Alpines, pioneers, and Kenwoods. Plus their ease of operation is uncanny to all.

What? No option for Blaupunkt? I thought you wanted to know the Best! Oh well, I have a Sony Mini-disc Deck and a Kenwood CD Player in my car.... Go figure! I say that I spent way to much on my system, but I had it all in my previous cars.

I would vote for Nak if it was listed. I bought the CD400 last summer and I am very impressed with the sound and the build quality.

I should have put Nak in there they make good stuff I didn't bother listing blaupunkt cause they haven't made anything decent in years and it would end up like jensen on the list.

I voted Alpine. I have a JVC now because my Alpine was stolen.
