i dont like to put alot of money into something that depreciates faster then anything on earth.

all my money goes into my house. which continually appreciates over time.

dont get me wrong i love my car, but its only here to get me from point A to point B at the recommended speed limit.

There is a difference between maintenance and upgrade mods ...
...congrats on the house

Tools: Spark plug puller tool, 4 spark plugs(dealer plugs probably run you around $40 total, cheaper alternatives probably run around $20 out the door) , long extension arm to connect to spark plug puller/socket, wratchet.

Torque to about 20lbs...or tight enough where you can't turn it with two fingers.

Hope you change your oil more often than you do your plugs

You might need tissue. I needed it to get my spark plugs out. Just stuff it in the spark plug socket and pull up the spark plug. I loved changing the spark plugs on my car because the plugs are very easy to get to unlike my others. Takes about 15 minutes. Look in the how to's.

Plugs for my car run about $7 for all 4 of them. I don't know what plug the regular Lancers use but I think they'd be about the same price. Changing them out is simple, out with the old and in with the new. I've got it down to about 15-20 minutes at a standard pace in my car, and that's checking and rechecking EVERYTHING..

Also, if you don't have a spark plug socket no need to by one. After the plug is completely untightened grab a plug wire and stick it down on top of the plug and just pull it out..

O' and I would get the gapping tool too. Don't pay for pre-gapped plugs that are 5 bucks! Gap the plugs your self and buy yourself a pop afterwards.

...just get the plug socket, it's alot easier lol...

changing plugs is mickey mouse. I would invest in a magnetic grabber, for some reason i seem to drop nuts/screws everytime i do my plugs...without fail lol

^+1 on the magnet.. I always tend to drop the little 10mm bolts that hold the coil packs in place...
