It will work as an afc if you hook it up. So it should work

Check your sensor type. It should be set to Karman. Also, here is some tips that may help you out:

im using a vafc and i dont see anything to select karmen sensor type. if i go into sensor select it just gives 2 areas one for in and one for out . i set the in on 04 and the out on 04 also and my check engine light is still on. any other ideas on what it could be. i also have all the fuel settings on 0, if that would affect it.

i just got back from having autozone pull my check engine code and it came back as P0102 . MAP. or MAF sensor condition . so does that mean that the settings on the V-AFC are off somehow. or do u think its how i wired it up . ive checked over it 3 times now and it matches up to the install guide for it on here. all my connections are soddered togeather. does the VAFC have different wiring then the SAFC ???

The reason you're tripping a code is because the sensor is not set correctly for the in and out. You need to do some research and figure out what those values need to be set at. Right now the signal from your MAF is going through the VAFC and the VAFC is altering it before it goes to the ECU.

Most people here use a SAFC if anything. You probably won't find anyone here that has used this before. Good Luck

Not sure, it's a honda part going into a mistu. Might require lengthy work. I'd say check honda forums to find what the things are the vafc actually connects to, then search for wiring diagrams here to find the same things to connect to. That's all I got. Someone that knows more about fuel controllers here might find this to help you out more
