Cold Air Intake 08 GTS

Hey there, I am new here as well as tuning cars. I have a 2008 Lancer GTS that I have bought around 2 months ago. I am looking to get a Cold Air Intake.

But here is my problem.
- I do not know which brand is the best.
- I do not know what is the best option for the best price.
- I look on ebay and see that the prices are just the same as new parts.

I know I probably sound stupid, but I am confused, I have spent some time researching CAI.

I've got some prices down from some brands like AEM... which would be 314$.

I think that is a little high for what I am looking to spend. Does anyone know of any CAI's that would be cheaper? Im looking to spend around 200-250.

Assuming you have the 2.0L engine, search around for injen cai 2.0. its the most popular and probably most recommended. you will not find it new for $200-250, $350 probably.

price is inline with our market segment. its supply and demand. the cost might seem high but to be honest its pretty modest. And if your looking into A list brand names, then the price is going to be high for sure.

I too have been looking for a CAI, and the best I've seen is around 300, which is pretty decent in my opinion, and if your going to buy online, watch out for sales and things they can make a nice difference in price...for the 200-250 bracket (unless you go used) your best bet would be a SRI

I've been looking at the Injen CAI for the '09. I've heard that it's required to remove the front bumper/facade to install it. Anyone know if this is true?

No need to remove bumper, just turn the wheel all the way right.
