RS,

This is the romid from the definition file:

<romid>
<xmlid>88250013</xmlid>
<internalidaddress>f52</internalidaddress>
<internalidhex>88250013</internalidhex>
<make>Mitsubishi</make>
<market>USDM</market>
<model>Lancer</model>
<submodel>ES</submodel>
<transmission>Manual</transmission>
<year>2006</year>
<flashmethod>mitsukernelocp</flashmethod>
<memmodel>SH7055</memmodel>

So I just add the "ocp" here right? Just wanna make sure I got it right.

Is that the definition for your car? If so i wouldn't touch it.

Its only when you discover that your ecu uses the ocp method that you need to add it. I wouldn't worry about it too much it simply will not flash if it uses the wrong method plain and simple.

But to answer yes that is the right way to modify the file.

I see its been a year since there was a update here. From what I've read above the the lancer and evo ecu's are in fact similar, but different. My question is have there been any recent developements in flashing the evo program into a non-evo ecu?

i mean the stock manifold pressure sensor. On my 4G69 i'll be running a 3 bar MAP sensor, but i'll still be using the MAF. From what i've seen, speed density gains are minimal. I know a couple of guys that run SD on their 2g Talons, and one reported an extra 60hp at 6,000rpm at 36psi...which isn't much in terms of the amount of boost, and all, but it's a lot in terms of just removing the MAF...

I was unaware you would gain any power with running sd. I wanted to switch just to eliminate that maf. Yes I currently run stock map.

it's minor, but basically with SD you can ditch the MAF which on your car, as well as the 4G63, is a bit restrictive, but also if you get rid of it all together, you can have like a 5" intake if you want...but i have seen logs in which power was gained just by switching to speed density...but 50-60hp when your already running like 40psi is almost moot...especially when the gain was not an increase in peak power, but a gain at the high end where it would normally start to dip a lot more...
