O2 simulation mod with ECUflash???

Ok guys, I have an innovate LC-1 wideband in my car that I would like to log through my ecu with evoscan that way I don't need to use the serial port with a usb adapter and have cables running all over my car. I have found a how-to in the evo section of this formus on how to do it with the 8s and 9s. my question is, once I wire it up into the rear o2 I know I have to have code written into the ecu to simulate the o2 so it wont code up.. here is the how to that ive found

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ec...ial-cable.html

Do I follow this same procedure with my 02 lancer or does it differ from lancer to evo?

The code is ROM dependent not car dependent. When mitsubishi compiles a rom the memory spaces are randomized. When we modify a rom we are using established memory addresses to modify the data in flight and take over pieces. Thats why you can't just throw the xml into any old rom and expect it to work.

That's what I kinda figured, but wanted to be sure. So with that being said, does anyone know how to mod an 02 lancer ECU to have a simulated rear O2?

Stock ROM still? The O2 simulator has only been patched to the forced induction evo 8/9 ROMs, and the instructions for patching don't apply to the regular NA lancer stuff.

Unless you can find someone who's patched your particular ROM, the only option is to reflash it with a supported one.

Or figure out how to insert the patch .

Also, if you're using an OP2.0, you can run the wb 0-5v output right to that, so it logs and can be read with evoscan.

Although it almost looks like it's only available if you are set up to log via SD card, not evoscan.

It looks like it is going to be a hassle to do what your wanting to do why not just use the serial to usb adapter and log it that way? Thats how I do it, I have my cable to my obd port and wideband logging cable ran through the dash and they are nice and coiled up in the glovebox. If I need to tune I just open the glove box and unroll the cables, plug em into the laptop and go.

Well, I'm wanting to do this because I have given my laptop to my wife for school and I now use my windows surface pro and it only has one USB port so I need to find out how to log the WB through evoscan.
