well...with the money anything is possible, I think the easiest swaps you could prolly pull off would be a ralliart mivec engine, supposedly everything would bolt right up. I heard you could put a N/A 4g63 engine in there like in the old eclipse's. I know a guy who has one in his mirage, and says I should do the same thing . Should I swap my engine with my faince's 99 eclipse haha j/p .So run a search to see all the discussions, but I would say if there are any possible "easy" swaps, those would prolly be it.

ya i will let you know on the total price, but it shouldn't be much. the guy thats doing the job for me is a mitsubishi wizard and he believes it will be a simple swap. everything he said should bolt right up and wiring should be no problem. most or all the plugs should match up. The only thing i will have to have redone is my downpipe on my exhaust manifold coming from the turbo because the motor i believe will sit an 1" higher then our motors.

Mitsiman from RPW has a V6 (6g12, I think) that can get stuffed in there. 4G93t engines from turbo 1.8L engines would fit, but I think there were like 3 sold worldwide, so good luck. I imagine 4G63/4G64 engines could be made to fit, but not easily and I've heard the rotational direction of them has changed back and forth a lot, so you'd have to be sure that the one you get goes the right direction. The easiest swap would be the 4G69 engine from the Ralliart, but there aren't exactly a ton of those in the junkyards yet, so good luck finding one of them.
But anyway, search and find more info... every discussion like this has always come up to anything being possible with enough money, but it would be a far better investment just to buy another car.

I've spoken to roadrace and wanted to do the 2.4mivec swap into my 03.. turns out
a lot more parts would need to be replaced and instead of a 4000$ setup it'd be more
like 15,000$ ... im just going to stage 2 instead.
although check rpw.com.au I believe as they have the direct swap engines listed there.

he didnt say thats how much THEY were gonna charge him. he said thats how much it would end up costing for all the parts he would need. besides the engine, youd need the intake, exhaust, tranny, ecu, engine harness, and a lot more im sure.
