tornado is a sell-out "intake" advertised in t.v.

you can put on your car's *** and get no h.p gain from it.... manpower maybe....

but in fairness they've got the dyno results... an it resulted to a tremendous .0000000000000002312313123412 hp gain!!!!

isnt that good news for "tornado" fans????

**** that ****.... its just a waste of money, time, and post

do not get the tornado or turbonator, or anything like that, they are crap and do not help at all, if you are going to get one get a eletric one, they will accually do you some good.

I somehow doubt that. I mean, for the most part, the RPMs that most of those churn out is actually less than would be required to cause a slight breeze, much less impact intake amount at all.

i seen it work

i went to this car show and they had that tornado booth and they were give free test and show dyno's and dynoing cars for free and that little pice of **** was giving good hp gains .on small displacement engines like the civic's ,lancer, etc. they gain a total of 1.8 to 2.4 whp i could not belive it .so that convice me and i bougth one for 40 bucks they had a discount to people that attended the show.it does suck more air because every time i floor it you see the temp gauge go up little bit like 230 degrees higher then the dead center.so i think that it those work.the electric supercharger isn't that for boat's or something like that i swear i read it was for boat's.

I don't get how the temprature gauge has anything to do with fuel efficiency or power. Actually, temp connotation would be negative opposed to positive, methinks.

I don't trust any company's dyno (not AEM, not Injen, not the Tornado's company) on their own product. Especially not something that has been sold in the back of car magazines for years.

I second that I was also present on that day lancer560 it showed a hp increase on my car as well but hey i got mines for free and did get better mileage but street is correct i would not buy anything of the back of a magazine but the tornado IS a SEMA endorsed product so that may say something in terms of reputation but hey like i said mines was a free bee and i seem to like it but i would not buy one no siree

Be it SEMA backed or not, look in the back of any car mag, and you'll see twenty ads for things just like this, that operate on the same basis, and say that they'll add x number of horsepower. I'm still skeptical, but, that may be because I wasn't present.

I have the TT Twin/Tornado system, costed me 100 bucks and i get 2 horsepower!!!!

The drag on the intake from the fans or wahtever probably brings the HP down... LOL.

I'm having a hard time figuring out why this debate still rages. A dyno can be calibrated to say whatever you want it to (not that that's a good thing). I hope you all realize that any "straightened" air or "charged" air needs to still be shoved through the intake manifold and into the combustion chamber to be combusted. By then, any benefits (real or imaginary) have long since faded.
