electric supercharger
Now I know all of those marine pumps on ebay are loads of crap that will destroy your engine. But I came across this electric turbo (if you will) and it looks legit. There is a video clip where the thing actually flies, and they have done dyno testing with results. Check it out. http://www.electricsupercharger.com/ Has anyone tried one of these, and what does everyone think about this?

Yea, that is pricy considering it probably won't add as much HP as they say. If you go to yahoo or any search engine and do a search on "'e-ram electric supercharger" you will find a lot of independent results and dyno tests. Besides, it would be tough fitting that into a Lancer without putting the battery in the trunk, or putting the intake right next to a major heat source.

Search Function. Learn it. Live it. Love it.
This has been tackled along with the supercharger, and the consensus is that the gains are minimal, at best, and fuel economy gains are also probably non existant.
That, and consider that a part like this can be very cheaply made. Just think of those lovely little jagged pieces of metal being sucked about two inches in through your butterflies in your throttlebody. God knows what damage those little bastards could do.
