Exhaust resonator

I got my exhaust a few months ago. I thought I could handle the sound, but I pretty much can't anymore. I've got header, downpipe and catback. So it is louder than just a cat-back on it's own. The resonator on my cat back is about .5 inch bigger than my exhaust piping.

Will a bigger resonator affect performance?

I would put the resonator on. The resonator wont affect the horsepower as much as you think. Any horsepower loss you think your going to have will only up the torque with back pressure. Put it on

His Resignator is on. He has an aftermarket one.

Blaze. I don't know what you can do about the sound without sacurfacing performance. I will try to find out for you though.

I'm just saying another resonator wont affect the horsepower much. Go to www.kteller.com ... They have a magnaflow resonator that is 14" long. Its not too big to rob you of much horsepower but it will quiet it down to a level you can stand.

Oh I see what your saying now. Ya thats a good point. Resignators will not affect much. I kinda laugh at people who take theirs out. (which is fine as long as it is replaced with a aftermarket one)

Sorry about that josh

I had the same problem so I purchased a 7" round muffler and installed it in the tunnel area of the car. sounds almost stock untill your in the 4000 rpm range and then it starts getting louder. But on the highway very nice and quiet. for pics check out my post in sale section
